Duties

Volunteer will be expected to:

·         Assist HR Generalist with follow-up in obtaining any missing documents.

·         Once obtained, place missing documents in file and update checklist.

·         Attend two of our downtown Oshawa locations to complete the project at each location (located beside each other).

·         Carefully review each personnel file (approximately 65 total) to ensure all required documentation is present.

·         Attach a checklist document to each file indicating what is present and/or missing.

·         Maintain confidentiality of personnel files.

·         Commit to project completion.

Volunteer must:

  • Be willing to work from each of our two downtown Oshawa locations
  • Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Reference check prior to starting the project.
  • Be able to communicate (read/write) proficiently in English.

Commitment Length Short Term - We anticipate the project being completed by the end of June 2024.
Interaction Level Solitary - Working on own, pulling files and reviewing documents. Staff will be in the area and at times, the room. ; HR Generalist is in building next door.
Minimum Hours 10 / Week
Dates and Times Monday: (anytime between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm) 
Tuesday: (anytime between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm) 
Wednesday: (anytime between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm) 
Thursday: (anytime between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm) 
Friday: (anytime between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm) 
 
There are no set number of hours or number of days required per week, however we would like to get the project completed by end of June at the latest.
Seasons Spring - start as soon as possible ; Summer - finish by end of June 2024
